With the possession of different smartcards, we have almost every possibility to bring the world into our own home comfortably, whether by voluntary, recommended or mandatory use, as in the times of Covid-19. With smartcards everything, without smartcards nothing! In social networks we uninhibitedly expand our private lives and enjoy Likes or Followers. Through the broad, supposedly convenient use, we become transparent citizens for banks, companies and governments with all our behaviour and preferences. In my series "Smartcards", plastic cards are completed with smart cards and with pressed-in forms, such as a weapon or Jesus, they become symbols of the digitally bought world. My series stands as a symbol for this whole development and is at the same time an appeal to the responsible consumer to reflect.
